Most of what we photograph is noticed, not arranged. We watch for the people who matter to you and the moments between the scheduled ones — the glance before the vows, the uncle who cries first, the friends holding up the dance floor at one in the morning.
We do direct when direction helps. Portraits get an unhurried twenty minutes in good light. Family groups are made quickly and kindly, from a list we prepare together. If the light is better two metres to the left, we will tell you.
